Trip to Classical Italy
Categories: Blog
I have just returned from a lovely trip to Classical Italy. I have to say that travel photography doesn’t really ‘do’ it for me. I am always struggling with the light, strength and direction , the numbers of other people about etc. However I wanted to put my new Fuji XPro2 through its paces and find out what it could do in challenging circumstances. It certainly came up trumps. I used its maximum ISO of 25,000 inside the black churches and it also coped very well with the tremendously contrasty light.
I am not an architectural photographer, or a street one, so I was rather out of my comfort zone. However it was a great holiday and the weather and the food were superb.
- One of thousands of headless statues
- Trains were colourful
- Colloseum
- Rome scene
- Vatican – wow
- Assisi
- The 25,000 ISO picture – it was dark in there
